We’re not short of places to visit here in Benidorm! We have a wealth of water parks, theme parks, animal/safari parks and places of natural beauty in and around the area. The main water park in Benidorm in Aqualandia, The main theme park is Terra Mitica, and the main animal park is Mundomar. The newsest addition to the theme parks in Benidorm are Aqua Natura which is a water park and Terra Natura which is an animal park. There are lot’s of free excursions known as ‘blanket trips’ available which will take you to all the major areas of natural beauty within the area. A selection of day trips include the stunning Guadalest and the hugely popular trip to Moraira. We’re not adverse to exploring the area and we’d love to share our photos and experiences along the way.
We’re pretty lucky to have one of the mildest climates on the Costa Blanca. We see very little rain and temperatures very rarely drop below around 15 degrees. The warmest and most dry months of the year in Benidorm are June, July, August & September. The milder weather kicks in toward the end of October and runs through November and December. January, February and March are our coldest months and we see the most rain that we’re likely to see for the rest of the year. The temperatures pick up and the weather becomes more predictable in the Months of April and May. For the latest Weather info for Benidorm keep an eye out for our weather updates on our Benidorm Weather page.
Benidorm Festivals & Fiestas
The Brits take over Benidorm in the early weeks of November and the Benidorm festival has become a huge spectacle in it’s own right. The streets are awash with fancy dress costumes and party goers and although the day on officially last for one day the days preceding and following often are as busy as celebrations get going or start to wind down.
Most of the places that we list can be found on The Benidorm Maps . These free map of Benidorm can be picked up in most Cafes, Bars and tourist information offices in Benidorm.
Benidorm Stag & Hen Weekends

There’s a number of excursion offices and plenty of Stag & Hen weekend organisers and companies here in Benidorm so you’re sure to find someone who can help you with you’re party planning. We often meet some of these organisers along the way and we’ll let you know who we think the best ones to book your excursions or day trips are. There’s also a number of Pub or Bar crawl organisers who will show you the Benidorm Nightlife. Again we’ll point you in the direction of the ones who we think are the best.

Amigos Bar & Bistro Benidorm (Old Town,Benidorm) Amigos has fast become one of the most popular restaurantsin the old town of Benidorm. Their quality of food and service hasn’t gone unnoticed either with them currently sitting at the number one Restaurant in Benidorm on Tripadvisor . We’ve visited Amigos on a number of occasions and enjoyed it every time we’ve been. Their food is near spectacular and there’s a fantastic ambience to the place. Their location in the hub of the ‘old town’ feels a million miles away from the Levante area of Benidorm! It’s not the easiest place to find but well worth it once you get there.
India Gate Indian Restaurant Benidorm India gate is one of our favourite Indian restaurants in Benidorm. We eat here a couple of times a month and are never disappointed with the food or service we receive. Their food is reasonably priced and they have various offers such as ‘Buy one chicken dish get one free’ with a ‘Vista Card’ which can be picked up in any of the shops or restaurants that are part of the Vista Card scheme. My favourite dish is the Beef or Lamb Madras. The dishes are well presented and always garnished with the usual herbs and spices you would associate with getting at an Indian Restaurant. One of the things we like the most about India Gate is the ambience and surroundings. They’ve put a lot of time into creating a true sense of being in India with incense sticks and decorations. During the summer months you can choose to eat indoors or outside on what we call ‘eating street’. India Gate is a must for anyone wanting to go for a ‘curry’ whilst in Benidorm.
Benidorm Pubs,Clubs,Cabaret Bars & Nightlife
Pig ‘n’ Whistle Traditional British Pub, Benidorm. The Pig ‘n’ Whistle is a traditional British pub located in the heart of Benidorm ‘old town’. We always enjoy popping in to the Pig when we get the chance as it’s like a home from home. When inside you could be back in your favourite local British pub! As you’d imagine, there’s a huge amount of spirits, shots, local and imported beer on offer so something to suit everyone. They serve a tasty pulled pork and apple bap which is delicious! The owners – Lee and Rachel are fantastic hosts and always go out of their way to make everyone that walks through their doors feel welcome. On an evening, there’s always something going on whether it be Karaoke, a tribute act or their house DJ playing. The Pig ‘n’ whistle can be found opposite the world famous ‘Rich Bitch’ Show bar.
Benidorm Beaches & Surrounding Area
Levante & Poniente Beaches, Benidorm. Our favourite thing to do when we get a day of from ‘The Bakery’ is to kick back an unwind on Levante or Poniente beach. Depending on what mood we’re in dictates which beach we visit! Levante is the busier of the two beaches and in the Summer months don’t be surprised by how cosy it can get! Deckchairs and umbrellas are generally not more than a couple of feet between you and your new neighbour so if you’re looking for privacy this probably won’t be the beach for you. On the other hand, If you’re looking to have all amenities close by to nip of the beach for a spot of lunch, an ice cream or a cold drink this beach would be more suitable. If you plan on taking a coolbag crammed full of your supplies for the day and don’t plan on walking any further than to the sea to cool down then Poniente beach would probably be the best choice. The Poniente beach closest to the old town of Benidorm can be equally as busy as Levante beach and we feel that it’s worth the walk further down the beach towards La Cala to have your own space. Both beaches are equally as stunning! The beaches are cleaned on a daily basis and the sea is litter free (with the odd exception of a bit of seaweed here and there!) Benidorm Beaches boast Blue flag awards and although we’re biased we think you’d be hard pushed to find a nicer beaches along the Costa Blanca.
Benidorm Excursions & Day Trips
Guadalest & Algar Falls. We recently stumbled across a stunning beautiful place less than a 20 minute drive from Benidorm called Guadalest. We had heard about the place advertised as a free ‘blanket trip’ through one of the local excursion operators. We set out to visit Guadalest and assumed that another of the places advertised as part of the trip-Algar falls was at the same location. Guadalest is a quaint village with a church, castle, prison and a host of shops aimed at the many tourists which visit on a daily basis over the Summer months. There is a real feel of ‘old world’ Spain when you visit Guadalest and it is a good reminder of why you visited Spain in the first place. Benidorm could be a million miles away! As you reach the peak of the hillside the village is built on you’re presented with views which simply take your breath away. The best view for me was the one looking down towards the vast lake below. It turns out that Algar falls isn’t actually in the same location as Guadalest but a further 20 minutes drive away towards the town of Callosa. The drive was well worth it and the stunning waterfalls (which were icy cold) are welcomed when you’ve been walking around all day and fancy a dip to cool down. All in all, both were a fantastic experience.
